Assumes office of Tehsildar Pahalgam
ANANTNAG, 24 MAY : Dr. Mohmmad Hussain Mir (KAS) has formally assumed the charge of Tehsildar Pahalgam. He was given a warm welcome by senior officers including Naib Tehsildars, health, municipality, and other officials for taking up the reins of administration of the Tehsil. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mir impressed upon the officers to work as a dedicated team for fulfilling the aspirations of the people and enhancing the quality of public service delivery. Besides accessible and responsive administration, he stressed effective grievance redressal, transparency, and accountability and sought full cooperation from the officers in this regard. He also expressed commitment for smooth implementation of Master Plan, Land Laws, and Protection and Preservation of Natural Heritage of Pahalgam. He asserted that the administration, police, and civil society along with PRIs/ULBs, religious leaders and youth should work together for containing the Covid-19 Pandemic adding the people should stick to Covid SOPs (CAB). Dr. Mir said the sign and symbol of a conscious and progressive society is a commitment to rules and regulations which must be followed for greater public welfare. He hoped the public will exhibit active support for protecting the natural heritage of historical and global tourist destination, Pahalgam.
