SEIZED 27 VEHICLES AND COLLECTED FINE TO THE TONE OF ₹22950 FROM 164 VIOLATORS, VIOLATING THE COVID-19 SOPs

Kulgam, May 18: In its endeavor to break the chain of transmission of Coronavirus in the District, Police Kulgam has continued its efforts to take stringent action against the violators of COVID-19 SOPs/ guidelines.

To ensure strict adherence to SOPs/guidelines across district Kulgam for the safety of the general public, and despite the issuance of clear restriction orders as well as the repeated requests made by kulgam Police, some violators are still defying the orders and are creating more opportunities for the spread of the virus (COVID-19) among general masses.
To curb the same today Police Kulgam took a tough action against these violators and booked 16 persons and seized 27 vehicles.
▪︎Case with FIR No. 90/2021 U/S 188, 269 IPC stands registered in Police Station Kulgam,
▪︎Cases with FIR NOs. 100, 101 & 102/2021 U/S 188,269 IPC stands registered in Police Qazigund. Also, the fine to an amount of ₹22950 was collected from 164 violators for violating COVID-19 SOPs.

District Police Kulgam once again humbly requests the general public to follow the guidelines issued by the district administration and not to come out of their homes unnecessarily and warns that strict action against the violators will be taken as per law.
