Kupwara 21 May: The National Anti Terrorism Day aiming to raise awareness about the anti-social acts of terrorism, violence, and its impact on human lives was today observed by Kupwara Police across the District. The main function was organized at DPL Kupwara, where SSP Kupwara Dr.G.V.Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS took the pledge to oppose all forms of terrorism and to fight the disruptive forces threatening human lives. Similar functions were organized at all Police Stations and Police Posts of the district where jawans were administered pledge of peace, humanity and to promote unity among people. The objective behind the observance of Anti-Terrorism Day is to wean away from the youth from terrorism and the cult of violence by highlighting the suffering of common people and showing how it is prejudicial to the National interest.
