Kulgam, February 3, 2025: The National Loktantrik Party (NLP) expresses its deepest condolences and strongly condemns the brutal Militant attack on an ex-serviceman and his family in Kulgam district. The cowardly act resulted in the tragic martyrdom of Shri Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, an ex-serviceman who had dedicated his life to serving the nation.
According to reports, unidentified terrorists targeted Shri Manzoor Ahmad Wagay at his residence in Kulgam, mercilessly attacking him and his family. Despite immediate medical assistance, Wagay succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind a grieving family and a shocked community. This inhumane act is a direct assault on peace, stability, and the security of innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir.
Hon’ble Lucky Ali, Election Observer and In-charge of Jammu and Kashmir National Loktantrik Party, expressed profound grief over the incident and paid homage to the martyred ex-serviceman. He stated, “This barbaric act of terrorism is highly condemnable. Shri Manzoor Ahmad Wagay served the nation with unwavering dedication, and his sacrifice will not be forgotten. The National Loktantrik Party stands in solidarity with his family and demands swift action against those responsible for this brutal crime.”
The National Loktantrik Party urges law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice at the earliest. Furthermore, the party appeals to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Government to enhance security measures for ex-servicemen and their families, particularly in vulnerable areas affected by terrorism.
Hon’ble Imtiyaz Ahmad, National Secretary also condemned the attack, stating, “This incident is a grim reminder of the threats faced by those who have served our country with honor. We demand immediate and stringent action against the culprits to ensure justice for the bereaved family.”
The National Loktantrik Party remains committed to standing against terrorism in all its forms and reaffirms its dedication to fostering peace, security, and stability in the region.
