DM Doda orders mandatory installation of CCTV Cameras in shops/ establishments in the District

Doda, January 15; District Magistrate Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan today issued an order under section 144 Cr.PC for mandatory installation of CCTV cameras at the shops/ establishments and other public places in the district Doda.

By the order issued today, the owners of all the establishments, shops, dhabas, restaurants, hotels, garages, scrap dealers on National Highway, in and around the main Markets in towns and other important roads within the jurisdiction of District Doda, have been directed to install CCTV cameras in their respective shops/ establishments, within a period of 15 days.

The order reads that, as the notice can not be served individually to all the concemed, the order is hereby passed exparte. Any person contravening this order shall be punishable under section 188 of IPC. The Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, has been asked to ensure the implementation of this order in letter and spirit.
