Father and Son duo arrested by Poonch Police for Manhandling and Misbehaving with Traffic Police at Horticulture Chowk Poonch.

On dated 28-01-2023 SO traffic poonch SI Mohd. Younis lodged a written complaint at police station Poonch mentioning therein that he along with his subordinates was performing duty at Horticulture Chowk Poonch. At about 1500 hrs one motorcycle bearing Reg. No. JK12A-5595 was stopped for document checking on which two persons namely Khaleel Ahmed S/O Bashir Ahmed and his son Shahid Ahmed S/O Khaleel Ahmed both R/O Gulpur Poonch were riding. When the rider was asked to produce the documents and found that he was not having D/L, Insurance and Pollution certificates. The moment traffic officer started filling his court challan under motor vehicle act. The duo started Manhandling, misbehaving and threatening to the traffic officers/officials and fled from the spot. On this a case FIR No. 14/2023 U/S 353/504/506 IPC was registered at police station Poonch and investigation was taken up.
