Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Anantnag in Collaboration with today conducted Gift a Rose Campaign in collaboration with Jehlum Case Construction Automobile Dealer , to rein in traffic rule violators who don’t wear helmets and fasten their seatbelts while driving and sensitized the general public about traffic rules at various places across the district to mark to mark 3rd Day of the National Road Safety Week 2023 which commenced from January 11 under the theme Swachhata Pakhwada.
At the same time many disciplined drivers who were found to follow traffic rules were appreciated with Certificate of Commendation.
While speaking to the media persons Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Kulgam Dr Mohammad Zubair Lattoo said that it was an initiative to make people realize the importance about following safety rules and adhere to use of helmets or seat belts, no use of mobile phone while driving or on the road.
The team also distributed IEC materials among the commuters as well as among the drivers depicting various road safety messages on it.
