Police arrested a drug peddler in Anantnag; contraband substance recovered

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested one more drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
Police party from Police Station Bijbehara established a checkpoint near fruit Mandi Jablipora and intercepted a person roaming in suspicious condition who was tactfully arrested by the alert police party. During his checking, officers were able to recover Brown sugar like substance from his possession. He has been identified as Fasil Ashraf Zargar Son of Mohammad Ashraf Zargar Resident of Baba Mohalla Bijbehara.
Accused has been arrested and have been shifted to police station where he will remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Bijbehara and further investigation set into motion.
