War on drug continues, one more drug peddler arrested by Anantnag Police.

Anantnag Feb 04: District Police Anantnag continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society, arrests a drug Peddler and recovered codeine phosphate bottles from his possession.

On a specific information Police party from Police Station Bijbehara laid down a naka near fruit Mandi Jablipora Bijbehara and intercepted one person namely Sayar Ahmad Wani S/O Gull Mohammad Wani resident of Wopzan Bijbehara, during his search Codeine Phosphate bottles were recovered from his possession. Accused was arrested and contraband seized.
In this regard Case FIR No. 21/2023 under relevant sections stands registered in Police Station Bijbehara and investigation taken up.

General public is requested to come forward and assist police with the information of War on Drug peddlers.(KNN)
