Srinagar: A 50-year-old woman was mauled to death by a wild bear in New Theed area of Harwan district in Srinagar on Thursday.
An official told the news agency KNO that the wild bear attacked the woman when she was working in the kitchen garden of her home.
“The attack left her critically injured. She was rushed to SKIMS Soura in critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries,” he said.
The official identified the deceased as Haleema wife of Ali Mohammad Ganaie of New Theed.
