Nidae KashmirRAMBAN JULY 21: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Ramban today organised an awareness event at Sangaldan under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and on the theme ‘Achievements @75 transforming lives and NABARD’s Contribution’ in Jammu & Kashmir.
BRANCH Managers J&K Bank, JCC Bank, UMEED beneficiaries, CFL Sangaldan, RSETI Ramban and FPO Sangaldan members participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, DDM Arushi Sharma highlighted the role of NABARD in organising training and capacity building programs for SHG members to boost their income resources under Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDP) and Livelihood and Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP).
During the interaction session, the FPO members were asked to brief about benefits of the CSS- FPO scheme to other participants. Credit related concerns of all participants were responded to by Bank Managers.
Bankers also explained various low-cost social security schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Surakhsha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana (PMJJY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) along with procedure for availing the benefits of the same. Later, a financial literacy awareness campaign was also organized.
