Nidae KashmirThe Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against eight individuals in a case involving fake date of birth certificates.
The accused are charged with offenses under various sections of the Ranbir Penal Code, including cheating and forgery.
The case stems from a complaint by the Agriculture Production Department, alleging that 12 officials submitted fraudulent date of birth certificates during their initial government service appointments.
The investigation found that eight of them used fake certificates to stay in service beyond their actual retirement age.
Legal proceedings are now underway.
