KULGAM, OCTOBER 22: The Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Nazir Ahmad Laway today chaired a meeting of officers to take a comprehensive review of major developmental projects, implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) in the district.
During the meeting, the MP sought project-wise details of all ongoing developmental projects and implications besides the status of various schemes.
On the occasion, detailed status of the ongoing projects was presented through PowerPoint presentation and the concerned officers highlighted sector wise progress of major projects and key flagship schemes of various sectors including R&B, RDD, PDD, PHE, Health, Education, FCS&CA, Labour, Social Welfare, Horticulture and Agriculture besides Animal and Sheep Husbandry and other sectors in the district.
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat apprised the MP that the departments have achieved cent percent target.
It was also informed that near about 170 Kms of road length has been macadamized in the district during this year so far.
The MP appreciated the efforts of district administration for effective implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes in different sectors.
The meeting among others was attended by, Assistant Commissioner- Development, Joint Director-Planning, Dy. Superintendent of Police-HQs, Ex. Engineers of R&B, PDD, Jal Shakti, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Education Officer besides other district and sectoral officers.
