Nidae KashmirSrinagar, April 03:(GNS) Encounter broke out between militants and government forces in Choori ki Gali area of Mughal Road of Sadev forest in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police, Army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Chooriki Gali.
As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed to GNS about the exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped inside. (GNS)
