Search operation underway in 4 Southern villages

Srinagar, Apr 7, KNT: Cordon and search operation is in progress in four villages of South Kashmir’s Pulwama and Shopian districts.

Sources said that combined forces laid a siege in Shopian and Pulwama villages and conducted search operations after inputs about the movement of militants in these hamlets.

The hamlets that were brought under siege included Inder Pulwama (55 RR), Melhora Wachi in Shopian (55 RR), Chitragam Shopian (01 RR), and Midora Tral Pulwama (42 RR).

The search operations were in progress till the filing of this report.

Pertinently, an overnight cordon and search operation is still underway in the Gulab Bagh area of Srinagar outskirts. (KNT)
