CISF personnel injured in misfire by a colleague at NHPC Uri

Srinagar, May 7(GNS): A paramilitary CISF personnel was injured in a misfire during the cleaning of the rifle by his colleague at NHPC Uri in the Baramulla district on Friday, officials said.

A police official told GNS that one constable Manjunath was cleaning his rifle when a bullet went and hit on the rebound from a wall to his colleague identified as Sandeep Dutta.

The injured was taken to district hospital Baramulla where his condition is stated to be normal. “The fire hit on his left hip after a rebound from the wall,” the official added. (GNS)
