Expresses gratitude to PM for airlifting oxygen plants

Srinagar, May 18: BJP’s Kashmir Unit on Tuesday said if prevailing Covid19 lockdown will be successful; it will benefit the people in long run and briefed Dr. Jitendra Singh about the prevailing Covid19 situation in the valley, party’s response to the crisis. Party’s Kashmir Media In-charge and youth leader Manzoor Bhat said if the present lockdown will be successful, it will benefit people in the long run. Then there are chances that lockdown will be lifted, he said. Bhat said the present situation needs patience and lockdown is the only solution to overcome the present crisis in the valley. Now police, doctors, and other frontline workers are working day and night to contain the deadly virus and now people have also understood the grave situation. “We can get benefits of this lockdown in future if people will seriously follow the government advisories on the ground so that in future months, there will be no need to implement strict lockdown,” he said. Bhat hailed the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Dr. Singh for extending their helping hand to the people of Kashmir during the crisis situation. While briefing the Kashmir’s situation to Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, Bhat expressed his gratitude to the central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for airlifting seven oxygen plants from Germany Srinagar. “These new oxygen plants will boost the exiting capacity in the valley and will help in curbing the increasing demand of oxygen cylinders in the valley,” he said. Bhat also welcomed said 500-bedded makeshift COVID-19 hospital is being built by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) at Khonmoh on Srinagar outskirts. During the virtual interaction, Dr. Singh also appreciated the efforts of Manzoor Bhat for reaching people in the Valley along with ration and other essentials. He described Bhat as a frontline “Covid19 warrior” for helping people during the pandemic crisis. Dr. Singh urged the party cadre to reach to people and provide them every possible help during Covid and take care of the destitute and poor in their localities. On the occasion, Dr. Singh assured Bhat that he will try to get every possible help from the center for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.  He was also informed about the prevailing situation in hospitals, availability of beds, and patient care.

Ankara, May 18: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Tuesday met his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Ankara to discuss the situation in Palestine amid continual Israeli bombardment. The airstrikes were preceded by days of tension and Israeli aggression in occupied East Jerusalem, where hundreds of Palestinians were assaulted by Israeli forces at Al-Aqsa Mosque and in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
