Ganderbal, May 29, KNT: A ‘mentally unsound’ woman ended her life by jumping into the nallah Sindh near Hari Ganiwan area of Kangan here in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, police said on Saturday.
SHO Police Station Gund Abdul Rasheed told news agency Kashmir News Trust that during the intervening night a ‘mentally unsound’ woman left her bed and jumped into nallha Sindh. Police and locals retrieved her body during the wee hours. The deceased woman has been identified as 36-year-old Ghulshan Akhtar wife of Abdul Rashid Itoo, a resident of Hari Ganwan Kangan.“A case in this regard has been registered and investigation taken up,” a police officer told KNT.
