Nidae KashmirSrinagar, May 31, KNT: Alert police personnel foiled a suicide bid here in Kashmir capital Srinagar on Monday afternoon. Sources said that a lady (name withheld) from Budshah Nagar Natipora emerged on Budshah Bridge Srinagar and tried to jump into the river Jehlum. However, the alert policemen on the spot stopped her and after hard efforts bundled her into a police vehicle. A video of this incident is viral.
A police official said that the lady has been pacified and is being counseled while reasons behind taking this extreme step are being investigated. Earlier, today, an unknown person jumped into the river Jehlum on Cement Bridge Qaamarwari Srinagar. His body has not been fished out so far.…
