Nidae KashmirKULGAM, JUNE 10: The District Administration Kulgam today organised a flood rescue mock drill under the supervision of ADC Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather at Khudwani here.
Several Departments including Fire & emergency, SDRF, Health, Flood control and Revenue depts. participated in this mock drill, besides these a group of 50 volunteers also participated in this mock drill programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that the main objective of this mock drill is to remain focused and prepared to deal with any eventuality, so that a timely rescue operation can be carried out.
He added that a series of such programmes will be organized in various areas of the district to impart training to volunteers about the rescue measures during floods and other types of disasters.
Dy-SP SDRF and Inspector Fire & Emergency were among others present in the mock drill held.
