Budgam, July 18 : The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Kashmir carried out a major operation in the Mulshula area of Beerwah in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the team raided a location and seized a significant quantity of poppy straw.
In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, According to preliminary reports, one accused individual was apprehended at the site. The seized narcotics were reportedly stored for illegal trafficking, it reads.
An FIR has been registered, and further investigation is underway to trace the broader network possibly involved in drug smuggling in the region, it reads.
The ANTF has reiterated its commitment to curbing the narcotics menace in Jammu and Kashmir and has urged the public to cooperate by sharing credible information related to drug activities, reads the statement.
