To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking Stringent action against the Drug Peddlers, Sopore Police apprehended one Drug Peddler alongwith Psychotropic Substance in the jurisdiction of PS Tarzoo.
A team of Sopore Police while naka checking at Nageen Bagh intercepted a vehicle Duxon bearing registration number UP20BX-6439, driven by Shabir Ahmad Ganie S/O Abdul Ahad Ganie R/O Hathishah Sopore A/P Naseem Bagh Sopore.
During the search of said vehicle 12 bottles of 100 ml Corex Malalate and Codeine Phosphate Syrups were recovered.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 74/2023 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Tarzoo and further investigation has been taken up.
The swift action by Sopore Police has been applauded by the general public. The strict legal action against drug peddlers will be continued in future also. People are requested to co-operate with Sopore Police in eliminating the severe menace of drugs from the society.
