Mela aimed to empower youth through Innovation, skill development & entrepreneurial exposure
PULWAMA, AUGUST 02: District administration Pulwama, in collaboration with the District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) and Government ITI Pulwama, today organised a Capacity Building Entrepreneurship Mela under the flagship Mission YUVA initiative at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Pulwama.
The mela was aimed at empowering youth by enhancing their entrepreneurial aptitude, promoting innovation, and sensitising them with the wide array of government support systems available for aspiring entrepreneurs.
During the event, a series of expert-led sessions were held where resource persons and experts shared valuable insights on topics including the entrepreneurial mindset, startup ecosystem, financial access, government schemes, marketing strategies, and the role of innovation in building successful enterprises.
A key highlight of the programme was the student-led entrepreneurial exhibition, where students displayed innovative business ideas, functional prototypes, and creative solutions. The stalls offered a unique opportunity for practical learning, encouraging participants to apply their knowledge and receive expert feedback in a real-world setting.
The event witnessed active participation of various officers and institutional representatives including the Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama; Assistant Director Employment, Pulwama; Superintendent ITI, Pulwama; District Nodal Officer, JKEDI, Pulwama; Career Counselling Officers and Employment Officers DE&CC; besides experts from Government Polytechnic College Pulwama.
