Dr. Masrat Iqbal Wani today formally took charge as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Kupwara. Upon his arrival at the CMO office, he was accorded a warm welcome by the medical staff and officials, who expressed their support and enthusiasm for his leadership.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Wani reiterated his commitment to strengthening the healthcare system across the district. “My priority will be to improve the overall health infrastructure and ensure quality medical services are accessible to every corner of Kupwara,” he stated.
Dr. Wani emphasized the importance of public cooperation and transparency in healthcare delivery. He urged the general public to approach his office freely with any feedback, complaints, or suggestions, assuring that all genuine concerns would be addressed in a time-bound and efficient manner.
He further stressed on enhancing primary healthcare facilities, streamlining referral services, and ensuring availability of essential medicines and staff in peripheral health institutions.
The staff and officers present at the occasion expressed optimism that under Dr. Wani’s leadership, Kupwara’s healthcare services would witness marked improvements.
