KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 09: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Additional Deputy commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad along with Food Safety Officer Kupwara, Tehsildars and other concerned officials today conducted a comprehensive inspection drive across various food establishments in Kupwara main market.
During the thorough inspection, the meat being prepared was found apparently fresh and stored in small, manageable quantities, with officials expressing confidence that this standard has to be maintained without any sort of violation in future.
ADC issued spot directives to all food business operators to maintain proper bills and purchase records of meat, chicken and other perishables to ensure complete traceability of the supplies.
He reiterated that such inspection drives will be intensified and expanded beyond the main town to cover every tehsil and block level across the district. He also stressed that maintaining impeccable hygiene at all food establishments is non-negotiable and warned that any violation of food safety norms will be met with strict action as per the law.
ADC assured that administration remains committed to safeguarding consumer health and ensuring that quality and hygienic food is served to the public.
