GANDERBAL POLICE SEIZES 02 VEHICLES INVOLVED IN ILLEGAL EXTRACTION & TRANSPORTATION OF MINERALS.

As part of its relentless drive against illegal mining, Ganderbal Police, in close coordination with the Geology & Mining Department, today seized (01)Tipper & (01) Tractor engaged in the illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals.

The seized vehicles, illegally loaded with minor minerals extracted from Nallah Sindh, were intercepted within the jurisdiction of PS Ganderbal. The registration numbers of the seized vehicles are mentioned below;
Tipper:JK01J/1091.
Tractor:JK16C/2965

This decisive action underscores the strong commitment of District Police Ganderbal and the Geology & Mining Department in curbing the menace of illegal mining. By ensuring that violators are brought under the ambit of law, the police aims to protect the district’s natural resources and maintain environmental balance.

Community members are earnestly appealed to extend their cooperation by sharing any information regarding such unlawful activities in their areas. Ganderbal Police assures complete confidentiality of the informants and reiterates its resolve to take strict legal action against those indulging in illegal mining.
