Health Benefits of Spinach

It is commonly called ‘paalak’ in Kashmir, and the pronunciation is ‘speenich’ not spanich. Green leafy vegetables are good for health. Green leafy vegetables contain immense health benefits, and most of the time, when we are having any health issues like overweight, stomach aches, constipation, and a number of other issues, seasonal fruits and vegetables are always healthy and contain essential nutrients, vitamins, etc. Every vegetable and every fruit is good for our health, and we should eat all the seasonal fruits and vegetables. Raw vegetables like carrot, radish, cauliflower, tomatoes, beet root, coriander, cucumber, green chilli, onion, and lemon are used as salad in different functions and parties due to their health benefits and are good for our health.
In this article, I am going to explore the health benefits of spinach. Spinach is one of the most famous vegetables and has great health benefits. Commonly, spinach is recommended by doctors to those patients who have iron deficiency. Besides its main nutrients, spinach contains great and immense health benefits.
Health benefits of spinach:
Rich in iron: as we know, our body needs iron in order to use body energy effectively. To fulfil iron deficiency, we can use vitamin C-rich food items like citrus fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, oranges, etc.
Spinach is good for heart health because excessive fat stored in the arteries results in the thickening of the arteries, which may cause strokes and atherosclerosis. Spinach prevent this from happening. As spinach contains lutin, which helps our arteries thicken, lutin also keeps our heart health good and prevents us from developing other heart-related diseases.
Good for skin, as skin is our largest external organ. Skin is very sensitive and needs proper care during all seasons. Spinach helps our skin glow and keeps it healthy. Most of the fresh vegetables and fruits are good for our skin, and we should have them if we are having any skin-related issues.

Containing natural anti-ageing properties: every one of us wants to look young and dynamic at any age; for that, we have to maintain a proper diet and exercise regularly. Spinach is packed with antioxidants that have the tendency to prevent radicals that cause pre-mature ageing among the young.
Boosts our immunity: as spinach contains vitamin A, vitamin A too boosts our immunity.
Good for our brain health: spinach contains vitamin K, which is good for the nervous system.
Good for eye health: As we have studied during our school days, vitamin A, chemically known as retinol, is good for eye health. Most of the green leafy vegetables contain vitamin A; spinach is one of them.
It helps weight loss, as spinach is rich in fibre and low in calories. It is good for digestion and keeps bowel movements relaxed.
Good for our bone health: vitamin K is good for bone health. Spinach also prevents one of the most lethal diseases, cancer, as it contains antioxidants.
Suggestion: Always keep your health a priority, and always try to avoid overeating and choose healthy and fresh food. As we have the good command that medicines are meant for temporary cures, the main thing is that we have to take care of what we are consuming. Like always, drink plenty of boiled water. Eat fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables. One thing is very unfortunate: during harsh winters, the rates of such essential commodities skyrocket, making it impossible for everyone to purchase them.
