The performance art, orchestrated by the SSMD School of Design, highlights the importance of protecting the environment and the detrimental effects of human consumption. While the garments are not intended for daily wear, they deliver a compelling message about environmental responsibility and sustainability.
Under the direction of CEO and Director Insha S Qazi, the collection reimagines contemporary fashion by incorporating discarded and low-cost materials. Items such as egg trays, paper foil plates, ribbons, cement bags, polythene, used combs, upcycled umbrellas, jute sack rice bags, and metal keys are transformed into haute couture. This collection proves that striking fashion can be created on a budget, challenging the belief that high style requires a high price tag.
