PDP Unit Doda paid rich tributes to Party Founder and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and patron People’s Democratic Party J&K late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on his seventh death anniversary here today.
In this connection, rich tributes were paid by workers of PDP to its patron and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
A function was organised at district headquarters today in which dozens of workers and functionaries participated, the release said adding that the meeting was presided over by party Vice President district Doda,Talib Hussain Riyaz Ahmed Khan,and RIYAZ Mintoo, and Ab Rehman Kashmiri,
Butt, on this occasion threw light on the life and personality of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who always championed the cause of humanity and worked relentlessly for the betterment of downtrodden sections of the society acting as Masiah to address their grievances, he added.
Calling Mufti Sayeed as a great visionary leader of Asia twenty first century who while keeping aside the regionalistic consideration set a precedence in the political area that for the concerns which treat the people from far and wide not only in J&K, but the entire country alike are considered exemplary for the democrats of the world, he further said.
The release added further that the formula of fostering peace in the sub-continent by resorting to mutual business ventures and need for engagements in dialogue with two neighbours eased the tension between them to a great extent and paved a way for trade across borders.
Later, a two minutes silence was also observed in honour and the peace of the soul of the late leader.
