Rozgar Mela 2023: PM Modi to distribute about 71,000 appointment letters today – details of the employment programme

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute around 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in various government departments and organisations on Friday.

The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join various positions/posts under Government of India like junior engineers, loco pilots, technicians, inspector, sub inspectors, constable, stenographer, junior accountant, grameen dak sevak, Income Tax inspector, teacher, nurse, doctor, social security officer, PA, MTS, among others, the Prime Minister’s Office said in its release.

In an attempt to increase the employment opportunities, the Modi government kickstarted the Rozgar Mela to generate employment initiatives in the country. To achieve the target, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has been organising Rozgar Melas across the country. Union Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), takes care of all the steps that need to be taken by NSDC to generate employment.

A Rozgar Mela witnesses the participation on an average of 40-50 employers from 10-12 high economic growth sectors.

People falling in the age group of 18-35 years participate in the Rozgar Melas. The candiadtes generally possess an academic qualification covering 8th/10th/12th Pass, ITI, Diploma, Graduates etc.

The PMO said that Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of the commitment of PM Modi to accord highest priority to employment generation.

The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development,” the PMO further stated.
