Sopore, 02 Feb : To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking Stringent action against Drug Peddlers, Sopore Police apprehended one Drug Peddler along with Contraband Substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Panzla.
The Police Party of Police Station Panzla, while checking at Dachanpara Crossing Rafiabad, apprehended one person. On seeing the Police Party, the accused tried to flee away from the spot. However, the Police took hold of the accused tactfully and arrested him alongwith the Contraband Charas like Substance about 55 grams, which was seized on the spot. The accused disclosed his identity as: Majloon Ahmad Lone S/O Ghulam Muhammad Lone R/O Balhama Rafiabad.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 02/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Panzla and further investigation has been taken up.
The swift action by Sopore Police has been applauded by the general public. The Strict & legal action against the Drug Peddlers will continue in future also.
