Jammu November 12: On 12-11-2020 in an endeavor to curb the menace of Gambling in the society, Police party of Police Station Domana headed by Inspr. Chanchal Singh SHO P/S Domana assisted by SI Deepak Bharti I/C PP Chinore on specific information raided the area near Barnai and arrested 06 gamblers along with Rs 18,800 stake money and 27 Bottles (750ml) of Liquor.
The arrested persons have been identified as 1. Vikrant Sehgal S/O Ram Sehgal R/O Janipur 2. Raman Gupta S/O Rattan Lal Gupta R/O Janipur 3.Rohit Sharma S/O Sham Lal Sharma R/O Purani Mandi 4. Sunny Sodhi S/O Sunder Sodhi R/O Janipur Colony 5. Akhtar Hussain S/O Gulam Mohd R/O Janipur Colony 6. Dushant S/O Uttam Kumar R/O Janipur Colony.
On this, case FIR No. 317/2020 u/s 3/4 Gambling Act and 48A Excise Act have been registered at P/S Domana. Further investigation of the case is going on.
