In pursuance of Indian Army’s resolve to strike a chord with the local population and mark the special occasion of Swarnim Vijay Varsh i.e Golden Jubilee of the victory of Indian Armed forces against Pakistan Army in 1971, painting competition have been organised in various schools around the valley.A total of 570 children took part in the event, which was organised in last 15 Days among 214 villages.The best entries were selected and students participated in grand fenale organised at Zainakot on 17 Jun 21. The grand fenale witnessed participation of 108 children, out of which 65 were of category from age group of 06 to 12 years and 43 were of category from age group of 12 years and above.The event was concluded by felicitating the best entries by chief guest for the event Mr Akshay Labroo (SDM , Srinagar West) and Col AS Malik, CO 2 RR Bn.
