Doda:- The literary committee of GDC Kilhotran organised an awareness session under the theme Meri Maati Mera Desh in the series of events taking place in the college. The whole event was organised under the able guidance and patronage of the college Principal Dr Javid Iqbal The event started with a welcome address by Prof Deepak Raj, Convenor College Literary Committee.The purpose of the event was to bring awareness among the students regarding the concept of Meri Maati Mera Desh. The chief guest on the occasion was Prof Mohd Yaqoob Baba, retired Principal Eidgah Srinagar. The principal Dr Javid Iqbal in his address briefed the students about National Integration and the significance of Meri Maati Mera Desh and encouraged the students to take active part in various activities in the celebration of Independence Day. The principal also extended his gratitude towards Prof Yaqoob and lauded the efforts of the college literary committee and the staff associated with the organising of such a graceful event. The chief guest Prof Yaqoob shared his decades-long experience with the students and also blessed the students with his visionary words. The HoDs from different departments were also present on the occasion. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Mr Vinay Manhas, physical director GDC Kilhotran
