Nidae KashmirSrinagar, Apr 06: Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) has been launched in the Gulab Bagh area of Srinagar after a specific input about the presence of militants in the area, officials said Tuesday.
A senior official told news agency Kashmir News Observer that CASO has been launched by the joint teams of police and CRPF in Shah-e-Hamdan Colony of Gulab Bagh area of city outskirts. “CASO is on and one or more militants are believed to be trapped in the area. No contact has been established yet,” the official said wishing not to be named.
Earlier, police had sealed all entry and exit points while lights were installed to ensure smooth execution of operation if contact is established with the militants—(KNO)
