Meet Duha Javaid: An 18-year old writer who published her maiden book

Srinagar, Apr 06: A teenage girl from Srinagar has published her first book recently which is based upon the causes of social evils and their consequences.

Duha Javaid, 18, a resident of the Bemina area of Srinagar who is preparing for NEET exams, in her 65-page book titled “Divulgence of the Mysterious Fate” has touched all important issues “prevailing in our society”.

Duha while talking with—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that she started writing when she was in class 10th.

“Divulgence of the mysterious fate is about the main social evils like drug abuse, black magic, a girl a burden, dowry and many other things,” she said, adding that in her book she has written how these things entered in our society and how it is ruining the lives of thousands of people.

“My book also mentions that if a society wakes up, how they can eradicate these evils from the society easily,” she said.

Duha said writing has been an inseparable part of her life and has given her the energy to work on behalf of the suppressed family.

In her message to budding writers, Duha said that don’t give up even if your work is not recognized, immerse yourself in as much information you can until you will reach your goal.

“Being a writer I encourage all to be a good reader. Read the trash, classics, good, bad and then write,” she added—(KNO)
