Nidae KashmirSrinagar, Jun 7: An 18-year-old boy has died after drowning in a lake in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district this evening. the boy identified as one Faizan Ahmad Parray (18) son of Mohammad Ashraf Parray resident of Kathair-Gund area of Chadoora had taken to Nilnag lake for bath with a group. The teenager soon after venturing into the water body went untraceable, forcing those accompanying him to raise an alarm.Few of the locals present there dived in to the water body to rescue the boy and on retrieval rushed him to a nearby hospital in an unconscious condition. However the doctors on assessing declared the teenager as brought dead on arrival.
Meanwhile a police official concerned confirmed to GNS about the death of teenager and said that the body was handed over to next-of-kins on conduct of due medico-legal formalities. (GNS)
