Anantnag Police arrested a drug peddler

Anantnag, 15 April: Anantnag Police has once again shown its commitment to eradicate the drug menace by apprehending notorious drug peddlers at Khanbal. On specific information regarding the transportation of drugs, a police party led by DO Khanbal under the supervision of SHO Police Station Anantnag laid a surprise Naka and apprehended a suspected person for checking at main chowk Khanbal. During the search police recovered allegedly Heroin (Chitta) about 10 grams from his possession. The accused has been identified as Zahid Farooq Dar S/O Farooq Ahmad Dar resident of Batangoo Anantnag. In this regard, Case FIR No. 92/ 2021 under section 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Anantnag and further investigation is going on.

Anantnag Police once again appeals to the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding drug peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them.
