Anantnag, April 22: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Police have arrested one drug peddler in Anantnag and recovered Narcotics substance from his possession.

A police party from Police Station Mattan during Naka checking at Aunag Mattipora apprehended a person namely Manzoor Ahmad Sofi S/o Abdul Aziz Sofi Resident of kandarpora Gurnee Anantnag, along with 200 grams of Charas like substance from his possession. The contraband was seized on the spot and the accused arrested.

Accordingly Case FIR No. 26/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Mattan and investigation took up.

This is in continuation to the efforts of Anantnag Police to fight against the menace of Drug Abuse and Drug Peddling.
