Anantnag, June 07: Anantnag Police Continuing it’s War against drug peddlers arrested three drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

Police party from Police Post Janglat Mandi laid by DO Janaglat Mandi established a naka near Shawala Mandir and intercepted an Alto car bearing chassis registration number CH. No. 0869, and during search of the vehicle fifty (50) Codeine phosphate bottles were recovered from the possession of three persons namely;

01. Shakir Ah Naikoo
S/o Farooq Ahmad Naikoo R/O Bulbul Nowgam
2. Mudasir Ah Dar
S/O Mohd yaqoob Dar
3. Waseem Ah Dar
S/o Bashir Ah Dar residents of Brakpora Anantnag. All three accused were arrested, contraband as well as the vehicle used for commission of crime was seized.

In this connection, Case FIR Number 261/2021 under relevant sections of the law stands registered in Police Station Anantnag and investigation into the matter has been taken up.

Anantnag Police once again appeals the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding drug peddlers so that curative steps can be taken against them.
