Nidae KashmirSrinagar, May 18: Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar on the 31st martyrdom anniversary of its founder Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq (RA) paid glowing tributes to him for his three-decade-long invaluable contribution towards the propagation of Islamic teachings and values across Kashmir and outside besides fulfilling his responsibility of Qual Allah Wa Qaala Rasool (SAW) at the historic grand mosque as the Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir.
Anjuman said the spirit with which the Shaheed-e-Millat (RA) highlighted Islam’s message of peace, humanity, love, tolerance, brotherhood, and religious harmony is a glorious chapter of our milli and religious history.
Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq (RA) made the Auqaf a self-sustained organization and took several measures to overhaul the Jama Masjid by providing the best possible facilities for the worshippers, the Anjuman said, adding that such contribution of Shaheed-e-Millat (RA) can never be forgotten.
Anjuman said that Majlis e Quran Khwani and Husn-e-Qir’aat competition functions to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-e-Millat (RA) stand canceled this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and nearly two-year-long house detention of Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq.
Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid has appealed to people to pray for the highest status in Jannah for Shaheed-e-Millat (RA) and all the martyrs of Kashmir in their daily prayers. It also urged people to pray to Almighty Allah to grant us refuge from the deadly outbreak of coronavirus.
