6 September 2024. Maraaz Adbee Sangam announces its annual awards for year 2024.

Srinagar: NK News: After a rigorous work of about Three months and consultations with different experts and decisions submitted by jury memmbers, the five members Award Committee including Riyaz Anzno, Gh. Mohammad Dilshad, Mushtaq Zameer, Mashru Naseebabadi and Mr. Bashir Zaair (Coordinator of the Award Committee) submitted the final selection list of different awards on 15 August 2024. The same was submitted to president for the approval and sanction for announcement.
After receiving approval from the Ali Shaida (president of Maraaz Adbee Sangam) the awards for the year 2024 are officially announced.
1) Main Awards:
a. Shan E Maraaz 2024 will be given to Prof. Shafi Shauq.
b. Sharf E Maraaz 2024 will be given to Dr. Sohan lal Koul
2) Best Book Awards:
a. Shahpara Maraaz 2024 to Siyah Shaban Manz (Poetry Collection by Naasir Munawar) (Majority of vote)
b. Sham E Maraaz 2024 (Wadi E Chinab Tehzoob O Saqafat by Shabir Hussain Shabir) (Unanimous decision by jury)
Prof. Shafi Shauq was born on 18 March 1950 at Kapran Shopian presently residing in Haarvan Srinagar. Prof. Shauq is a reputed poet, Fiction writer, Linguist, critic and Translator. He has published more than 45 books so far in Kashmiri, English, Urdu and Hindi languages. He has received so many awards including Shahitya Akademi main Award, Translation award and J&K State award.
Dr. Sohan Lal Koul was born on 17 June 1955 in Parnewan Budgam. Presently residing in Jammu. Dr. Koul is a prominent Novelist, Playwright and critic of Kashmiri language. He has published 20 books in Kashmiri and urdu languages. He has received so many awards so far including Sageet Natak Akademi Award New Delhi.
Naasir Munawar is a budding writer of south kashmir. Naasir Munawar is the son of Naazir Kulgaami (well known poet, writer, Translator and former president of Maraaz Adbee Sangam). Naasir Munawar is associated with Maraaz Adbee Sangam since childhood.
Shabir Hussain Shabir is a famous writer of Kashmiri language. He has published three books so far. Shabir Hussain Shabir is a member of executive council and Advisory board of Veathu Agur of Maraaz Adbee Sangam.
The awards will be presented on coming conference to the selected writers.
