Awantipora Teenager Goes Missing

Srinagar, Mar 26:  A 19-year-old youth has gone missing from his home for nearly a week now in Dadsara Awantipora of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Kashif Mir a student of the eleventh standard, as per a family member went missing from his home on March 20. “We have been looking for him at every possible place however have been unable to locate him for nearly a week now”, he said adding that “A missing report dated March 20 has been already registered in this regard.”

Meanwhile, a police official confirming receipt of a missing report from the family of the youth told GNS that “Efforts are on to trace the teenager.”

Pertinent to mention here that Mir’s two elder siblings Nayeem Bashir and Adil Bashir both belonging to militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were killed in separate encounters in 2010 and 2014 respectively. (GNS)
