Poonch// In collaboration with 25 RR unit of Indian Army an awareness programme and Rally on Nasha Mukt Bharat was organised at Government Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian Poonch . Principal Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian Anwar Khan presided over the program. The Programme was attended by local PRI members, Parents of the students, local youth registered with Youth Club Sawjian, Teachers and students of the feeding schools of Cluster Sawjian. Students of Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian Poonch presented theme based songs and a Nukad Natak highlighting the ill effects of Drug addiction . Anwar Khan Principal Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian talked at length about the menace of Drug Abuse. He informed students about the various methods being adopted by the drug peddlers to trap the youth. He also talked about the ill effects of the drugs on the health of the addicted person.He asked the public to extend Co-Operation in eradicating the drug abuse.He emphasized on the PRI members, Parents and youth to come forward and eradicate the menace of Drug Abuse in the society. He also expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing such programs in remote border area of Poonch.A rally was also taken out from model Higher Secondary School Sawjian and culminated at Girls Middle School Sawjian. The students were holding banners and play cards and chanting slogans against drug abuse. The proceeding of the programme were conducted by Saleem Rishi teacher.
