Nidae KashmirBANDIPORA, JANUARY 19: The Department of Ayush Bandipora on Thursday organised a daylong seminar on “Medicolegal and Ethical issues in Medical Practice” for Ayush Doctors working in Ayush department and this working under NHM Block Bandipora.
The aim of the seminar was to sensitize Medical officers regarding Consumer protection Act related to health services.
The programme was presided over by District Nodal Officer coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak and was attended by District Nodal Officer Ayush Bandipora Dr. Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Doctors from Ayush and other concerned.
Dr. Irfan Hussain Banday presented the brief presentation on the issue of medicolegal and ethical issues.
On the occasion Medical officers were given basic insight regarding ethical issues in medical practice including changing doctor-patient relationship, the need to introduce ethical training to medical professionals and the legal issues covered including basics of medical negligence, changing concepts of informed consent, and the practical issues of medical negligence cases with representative case decisions from the Indian courts.
