Nidae KashmirBandipora, April 19: Bandipora police today solved a theft case and recovered stolen electronic items worth thousands of rupees from the possession of the accused persons in Pazalpora Pethkote.
Police station Pethkote received a written complaint from Intizamiya committee Masjid Sultania Pazalpora Pethkote that some unknown persons have barged inside the said Mosque during the intervening night of 17/18 April and have stolen Inverter along with Battery, Electonic Transformer, Gas cylinder and decamped with the said items.
Accordingly, Case FIR NO.12/2021 Under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Pethkote and a special investigation team was constituted on the directions of SSP Bandipora Shri Mohammad Zahid -JKPS to nab the accused involved in the commission of a crime. The team was led by SHO Ps Pethkote INSP.Tanveer Ahmad under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shri Mohammad Idress-JKPS.
Acting swiftly upon this case police arrested two accused persons namely 01.Mohd Amin Hajam S/0 Abdul Salam Hajam 02.Tariq Ahmad Mir S/o Wali Mohammad Mir, residents of Pazalpora Bandipora.
During the preliminary inquiry, it was revealed that the accused duo are drug addicts and the motive behind the crime was to get money for the purchase of contraband substances. The accused duo confessed the commission of the crime during questioning and upon their disclosure, the stolen items were recovered. Further investigation of the case is going on.
