Ganderbal: Wussan battalion of the Chinar Corps, under its commitment to empowering local communities and fostering education, successfully concluded Computer Training Course for Women at Chinar Women Empowerment Centre (CWEC) Kangan with a closing ceremony. The event marked the culmination of a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing the digital literacy and employability of women in the region.

The course was conducted as part of the Indian Army’s outreach program to support the aspirations of women and equip them with essential technological skills in an increasingly digital world. Over the duration of the program, participants were trained in various computer-based applications, including basic computer operations, Microsoft Office, email usage, internet browsing, and awareness about online opportunities such as e-commerce, digital payments, and more.

The closing ceremony, held at the training venue, witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of participants, their families, and dignitaries. The event commenced with a welcome address by Brigadier Vipul Tyagi, Commander Manasbal Sector, who expressed pride in the determination and hard work exhibited by the participants throughout the course. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in creating opportunities for self-reliance, financial independence, and socio-economic development for women in the region.

During the ceremony, the participants shared their experiences, expressing gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing such a meaningful program. Many participants noted that the training not only helped them gain valuable skills but also instilled confidence to explore employment opportunities and contribute to their households.

Certificates of completion were distributed to all participants, symbolizing their dedication and success.

The closing ceremony reflected the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide, promote gender equality, and empower the women of Kashmir to lead empowered and self-sufficient lives. The initiative received widespread appreciation from the community and is expected to inspire similar programs in the future.
