Budgam police launched special drive for destroying illegal poppy cultivation; 20 kanals of poppy destroyed

Budgam, May 29: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam police along with the Excise department and revenue authorities launched a special drive against narcotic drugs cultivation and destroyed illegal poppy cultivation spread over 20 kanals of land at Shuroo Khansahib, Puchgund, and Bonham Beerwah areas of district Budgam.

A police party from Subdivision Khansahib headed by SDPO Khansahib along with SHO Khansahib and officers of revenue and excise departments destroyed huge poppy cultivation spread over nearly 07 kanals of land at Shuroo Khansahib.
