Play the role of Ambassadors for drug de addiction: DC to Students.
Bandipora, July 13: Sir Syed Educational Trust in collaboration with district administration Bandipora today organised a career counseling cum drug de-addiction for the students of different academic institutions of zone bandipora at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad was Cheif Guest on the occasion and presided over the function.
The program was organised with reference to admission opportunities in different universities/institutions of the country and abroad. On the occasion, the students were made aware about the impact of drug addiction on physical and mental health and social ramifications of indulging in drug menace.
Deputy Commissioner, Dr Owais on the occasion, highlighted the significance and need of career counseling in the current scenario. The DC said that youth should take their career on priority and should stay away from drugs while playing the role of Ambassadors of drug de addiction.
On the occasion, experts from diverse fields including education,health, Bio-science,Banking,Civil administration, judiciary, fisheries, agriculture delivered their presentations during the program.
Medical stall clinics were also installed by the department of Health in the school compound for a thorough checkup of the students.
Charter of demand was presented to Deputy Commissioner Bandipora andipora by the school of the institute.
Among others, ADC Umar Shafi Pandit, JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, CEO Mohammad Amin Beigh were also present. Officers from different departments deliberated on career opportunities for students in terms of higher studies, government and private jobs, and entrepreneurship.
