DC Jammu reviews progress of Jamabandi writing

JAMMU, APRIL 02: Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of revenue officers and field functionaries to review the progress of Jamabandis writing in the District.

ADC (Law and Order) Ghansham Singh; ACR Jammu, Vijay Kumar Sharma; Tehsildars, Naib-Tehsildars, Girdawars, Patwaris, besides other functionaries of the Revenue department were present in the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed detailed progress of documents, including the writing of pending Jamabandies, the status of mutations, etc.

While reviewing the progress of writing Jamabandies, the DC directed the concerned to complete the exercise within the given timeline. He emphasized expediting the up-gradation process and scanning/ quality check of revenue records as per the targets.

The DC directed the concerned officer to speed up the pace of writing of pending jamabandis to achieve 100% target. He set a deadline for completing the pending jamabandis by or before April 30.

The Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon the officers and field functionaries to work as a team with closed coordination for better results and public service delivery to the people.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed issues related to mining clearance in some areas of the district at a meeting with the concerned officers. The DC directed them to conduct a joint inspection for the demarcation of allotted blocks to resolve the issues. He impressed upon the concerned officers to remove the bottlenecks, if any, and make the blocks fully functional within 2 to 3 days.

DC Samba reviews summer preparedness

SAMBA, APRIL 02: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, today chaired a meeting and reviewed the preparedness for the upcoming summer season.

The meeting held in-depth deliberations on various short-term and medium-term measures initiated by the service provider departments for smooth and uninterrupted power supply, availability of drinking water, mass plantation drives, pollution control measures among other aspects of minimizing the public grievances during the summer season.

Besides, the several ongoing projects delayed on account of legal, arbitration, and other issues were also discussed in detail during the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to enhance their working capacity to meet the required deadlines. She stressed making the system robust so that every project created gives appropriate results.

 Additional Deputy Commissioner, Suram Chand Sharma, Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, District Information officer Ajay Sharma, AD Food Safety, AD Food Supply, Xen Phe, Xen Pwd, Xen PDD  EO municipality and other concerned officers and officials were also present.
